Urban jazz harmonicist Frédéric Yonnet’s musical

Bluegrass favorites, “Them Eastport Oyster Boys,”
were such a hit at Downrigging Weekend in 2009 and 2010 that we
are having them make a special encore appearance for Downrigging
2011 on Saturday, October 29 beginning at noon on our new
waterfront stage. A centerpiece of the Annapolis - Eastport
music scene, the Oyster Boys provide a knee-tapping, toeslapping,
comical musical history tour of Annapolis, Eastport, and the
Chesapeake through original songs and stories.
Sultana Projects’ own Chris Cerino will be the
featured attraction during the Downrigging Weekend Kick-Off
Party on Friday evening October 28. Chris will play selections
from his two albums about life on Maryland’s Eastern Shore as
well as new music, including the sure-fire satirical hit, “I’m a
Tall Ship Sailor.” Trust us - you don’t want to miss this!
Joining Chris will be guest artists drawn from the crews of the
visiting ships. Throw in some beer, wine, great food (all
available for purchase) and fireworks and this will be an
evening to remember!
