Since 1972, The Apprenticeshop School of Boatbuliding and Seamanship of Rockland, Maine has offered hands-on classes in traditional boatbuilding and sailing dedicated to inspiring personal growth through craftsmanship, community, and traditions of the sea.

Staff from The Apprenticeshop will be demonstrating traditional maritime crafts at Downrigging Weekend including lapstrake planking, half hull modeling and marlinespike seamanship. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to join in and try their hand at these traditional skills.
