Joyce Huber Smith
Joyce Huber Smith has served as Board Chair since 1998, guiding Sultana
Projects' transformation from a small, local non-profit to a regional
organization that provides educational programs in three states and the
District of Columbia. Under Smith's leadership, in 2004 Sultana Projects
was presented with the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Maritime
Education from the National Maritime Historical Society.

Christopher M. Cerino
A native of Reston, VA, Cerino graduated from the University of Virginia
in 1990 and received his Masters of Education from UVA in 1991. Cerino
has served as Vice President of Sultana Projects since 2000 and is
responsible for the development and implementation of the organization's
educational programs. Under Cerino's watch, tens-of-thousands of
students have participated in Sultana Projects' educational programs.
