Joyce Huber Smith
Joyce Huber Smith has served as Board Chair since 1998, guiding Sultana Projects' transformation from a small, local non-profit to a regional organization that provides educational programs in three states and the District of Columbia. Under Smith's leadership, in 2004 Sultana Projects was presented with the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Maritime Education from the National Maritime Historical Society.

Drew McMullen
A graduate of St. Paul's School and Amherst College, Drew McMullen was one of the founders of Sultana Projects and has served as the organization's President since 2001. McMullen oversees the business operations of the organization and coordinates strategic planning with the Board of Directors. He also periodically serves as relief captain on the schooner Sultana

Christopher M. Cerino
A native of Reston, VA, Cerino graduated from the University of Virginia in 1990 and received his Masters of Education from UVA in 1991. Cerino has served as Vice President of Sultana Projects since 2000 and is responsible for the development and implementation of the organization's educational programs. Under Cerino's watch, tens-of-thousands of students have participated in Sultana Projects' educational programs.
