DAY ONE:  FRIDAY, MARCH 1, 2013

10:00 am                 Arrive, stow luggage in Sales Room of MD Inn

                               Light refreshments, names tags, sign-in sheets, etc.

2:15 pm                   Break-Out Sessions

-         Dr. Bill Schindler, Food Processing Technologies

-         Danny Schmidt, Artifact Analysis: Materials from John Smith’s Well

NOTE:  For breakout sessions, the teachers will be broken into three small groups of approximately 10 participants.  Each group will rotate through all three activities, which will be repeated from 2:15 – 3:10, 3:15 – 4:10, and 4:15 – 5:10 pm.

DAY TWO:  SATURDAY, MARCH 2

9:00 am                   Check Out of hotel rooms

9:30 am                   2012 TAH Program Retrospective (Chris Cerino)

10:30 am                 Tour of Maryland Inn or similar*

11:30 am                 Break-Out Sessions (round 1 of 3 only)

-         Chris Cerino, Model Lesson Plan

-         Darryl and Lucia Calloway, Model Lesson Plan

-         Brian Palmer/Drew McMullen – video session**

12:30 pm                Lunch

1:30 pm                   Break-Out Sessions (rounds 2 and 3)

3:30 pm                   Closing Remarks and Evaluations

4:00 pm                   Dismissal

NOTE:  Break-out sessions will be conducted in the same format as on Day One, with teachers broken into three small groups that rotate through each activity.

**This session will be conducted in a panel-style format, with the teachers answering questions asked by Drew McMullen while Brian Palmer (Washington College) films their responses.
